Patch well what can i say about him.
Just that he was the best dog you could ask for.
he was also my dads dog and they were buried together
Patch xxxxx
You no longer greet me,
As I walk through the door.
You're not there to make me smile,
To make me laugh anymore.
Life seems quiet without you,
You were far more than a pet.
You were a family member, a friend,
A loving soul I'll never forget.
It will take time to heal-
For the silence to go away.
I still listen for you,
And miss you every day.
You were such a great companion,
Constant, loyal and true.
My life has been much richer,
Because I loved a dog like you

Every Dog Goes To Heaven
By Carol Vito - Copyright 2000
Every dog goes to Heaven
This I know is true -
They ascend their flight
On wings of love
And reflect sunsets
And skies of blue.
They teach us all
Of unconditional love -
Their lessons of loyalty never end.
The joys they shared
Are now above,
But to us, through memories
They send.
Peace will come
From precious thoughts
Of companion pets gone by...
We remember
With fondness
Their gentle ways -
The Beauty they shared
Is now seen in the sky.
It comes to us
In sunsets, clouds, rainbows,
Glistening snowflakes and twinkling stars -
Everything Good that
Nature paints
Reminds us of our companions
And keeps them forever
Within our hearts...
Precious Love
The agony is so great...
and yet I will stand it.
Had I not loved so very much...
I would not hurt so much.
But God knows I would not want to diminish
that precious love...
By one fraction of an ounce.
I will hurt...
And I will be grateful for that hurt
For it bears witness to the depth of my love.
And for that I will be eternally grateful.

Beyond the Rainbow
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

ahhh dear lil patch
" You were with me to the very end and even after I had 'gone' you held me,
and as my soul left my body and I looked down and saw you crying , I wanted
so much to tell you that I understood. You did this for me.
" I tried to tell you in my own way that it was time for me to leave, and I
thank you for understanding. No other will take my place, but those I left
behind will need your love and affection as I have had.
" You still think of me, and there are times when you try to hide your
tear-filled eyes..... but please, be happy and think not of saddness, but of
how I made you happy and made you laugh at the funny and smart things that I did.
" There are no fences here, for no one has the desire to 'dig out'.
" There are no thunderstorms here, therefore no fear is ever present.
" There are no fights here. Everyone is congenial.
" There is no hunger. There is no thirst. There is much to explore.
" Many of us who are older take care of the little ones and guide them.
It's fun watching then run with their ears flopping and their curly tails wagging.
" We have four seasons here........and most of us agree that winter is our favorite.
" So you see. my loved one, I am very happy.......
" When it is time for my friends to leave, I will meet them at the Gates,
and I will acquaint them with this beautiful and serene place, and I will take care of them for you.
" Thank you for loving me, caring for me, and having the courage to let me go with dignity."
Your beloved Companion, your dog
Your Pets In Heaven~
To have loved and then said farewell, is better than to have never loved at all.
For all of the times that you have stooped and touched my head, fed me my favorite treat and returned the love that I so unconditionally gave to you.
For the care that you gave to me so unselfishly.
For all of these things I am grateful and thankful.
I ask that you not grieve for the loss, but rejoice in the fact that we lived, loved and touched each others lives. My life was fuller because you were there, not as a master/owner, but as my FRIEND.
Today I am as I was in my youth. The grass is always green, butterflies flit among the flowers and the Sun shines gently down upon all of God's creatures.
I can run, jump, play and do all of the things that I did in my youth. There is no sickness, no aching joints and no regrets and no aging.
We await the arrival of our lifelong companions and know that togetherness is forever.
You live in our hearts as we do in yours. Companions such as you are so rare and unique.
Don't hold the love that you have within yourself. Give it to another like me and then I will live forever. For love never really dies, and you are loved and missed as surely as we are.
Your Pets In Heaven
(Written by Ken D. Conover)
For Patch,xxx.
Have you a dog in Heaven, Lord?
Is there room for just one more?
Cause my little dog died today;
he'll be waiting at your door.
Please take him into Heaven, Lord.
And keep him there for me,
just feed him, pet him, love him, Lord,
that’s all he'll ask of Thee.
